About the AI Visibility Readiness Check
This tool reads your public website the way an AI crawler would and scores how ready it is to be found, understood and quoted by AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers.
It scores five areas out of 20 each: Access, Understanding, Answerability, Trust and Footprint. The total is out of 100.
What the check does
You enter your site address and what you sell. We then read your homepage, robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap and up to two key pages, and look your brand up on Wikidata and Wikipedia.
- You see your score and the five area scores straight away.
- With a work email you get every check, a ranked fix list, an AI crawler table and a 10-question test sheet.
We never ask an AI model anything, so the score shows readiness, not what the assistants say about you.
Why we built it
In our audits we kept finding the same thing. Businesses were doing fine in Google but were invisible in AI answers, and the causes were usually basic: crawlers blocked in robots.txt, pages that say little, no clear facts about who they are.
We wanted a quick way to show owners those gaps without a sales call, and to give them a fix list they can hand to a developer.
Why you should use it
Use it if customers might ask an assistant who to hire, what to buy or whom to trust in your category. It takes about a minute and costs nothing.
It suits owners, marketers and agencies who want a baseline before spending on content or technical work, and a way to check progress after changes.
Why AI visibility matters
People are starting to put questions to assistants instead of scrolling a page of links. The answer often names two or three businesses and the rest are never seen.
Assistants build those answers from pages they can read, facts they can verify and sources they trust. If your site is hard to read or thin on facts, you are left out of the answer, even if you rank well in classic search.
Why this is urgent now
AI answers now appear inside search results and in apps people use daily. The habit of asking an assistant first is forming right now, and the businesses these tools learn to cite early tend to keep getting cited.
The fixes are also cheap compared with ads. Unblocking a crawler or adding clear facts to your About page can take an afternoon.
How brands win in AI answers
Brands that get named do a few things consistently.
- They let AI crawlers in and keep pages readable without scripts.
- They state plainly who they are, what they do, where and for whom.
- They answer real customer questions on the page, with specifics.
- They keep the same facts across their site, profiles and directories.
- They earn mentions and reviews from sources other than themselves.
What you must do to improve
- Check robots.txt and allow the AI crawlers you want quoting you.
- Add Organization schema and a clear About page with your name, location, services and contact details.
- Write pages that answer the questions customers ask, in plain language with real numbers.
- Add an llms.txt and a sitemap so crawlers find your key pages.
- Make your facts match across your site, Google Business Profile and directories.
- Re-run the check after each change and test the real assistants with the question sheet.
How our tool helps
The check turns a vague worry into a ranked list. Each fix says why it matters and how to do it, so you know what to do first.
The test sheet gives you 10 questions to try in the real assistants and a tally to track progress. If you want us to do the work, our LLM Visibility Audit and Optimization service covers it end to end.
Disclaimer
This tool is for information only. It checks signals on your public pages and does not query any AI model, so the score is an indicator of readiness and not a ranking or a promise that you will be named.
AI assistants change often and answers vary by person, place and day. Some checks may fail if your site blocks automated visitors. Your site address and category are used to run the check; the full report is kept for 24 hours.
Want to see what the AI assistants actually say?
Our LLM Visibility Audit tests real buyer questions across the major assistants, shows who gets named instead of you and why, and gives your team a plan to fix it.
