What the On-Page SEO Checklist Generator is

This is a free tool that gives you a ready-made on-page SEO checklist for the kind of page you are working on. You choose a page type: blog post, homepage, local page, product page or service page. The tool shows ten checks that fit it, which you can tick off on screen or print.

What you get when you use it

You pick a page type from the list and the checklist appears right away.

  • Ten checks written for that type of page, such as title and heading use, schema, internal links, images and calls to action.
  • Checkboxes you can tick as you go.
  • A print button, which lets you save the list as a PDF.

The first two page types are free. After that you enter your name and email to open all five.

Why we built the On-Page SEO Checklist Generator

Generic SEO checklists run to dozens of items, and half of them do not apply to the page in front of you. Blog posts need dates and authors. Product pages need price markup. Local pages need accurate business details. In audits we see teams skip lists because they feel too long. We wrote short ones that match the page type.

Who should use this checklist

Use it right before you publish, or when you update an existing page. It suits business owners, writers and marketing staff who are not SEO specialists. It is also useful for a team that wants every page to meet the same basic standard. Each list is short enough to finish in one sitting.

Why on-page basics matter

Search engines and AI tools rely on your page itself to understand it. A clear title, a single heading structure, descriptive images and sensible internal links make the topic easy to read. Missing basics are among the most common problems we see, and they are usually quick to fix. Strong pages need them in place first.

Why this matters more now

AI assistants and answer features pull from pages that state their topic plainly and back it with clear structure. A page with a vague title, no visible author or date, or missing business details gives them less to quote with confidence. Search results also surface more summaries, so a page that is hard to read at a glance is easier to skip.

How brands win with consistent page standards

Brands that do well use the same checklist every time they publish. They write for one clear topic per page. They show who wrote it and when. They link related pages together, keep business details identical everywhere, and test speed on mobile. They also revisit older pages instead of only adding new ones.

How to use the checklist to improve a page

  1. Pick the page type that best matches the page you are working on.
  2. Go through the list and mark each item as done, needs work or not relevant.
  3. Fix the items that affect what the page says first: title, heading, copy and images.
  4. Then handle the technical items: schema, canonical, links and speed.
  5. Print or save the list so you can compare it with the next page.
  6. Repeat for your most important pages, then recheck them every few months.

How this tool helps, and when to get an audit

The checklist gives you a clear standard to work against and covers all six steps for one page at a time. It does not look at your actual page, so it cannot tell you which items you pass. If you want an expert to review your whole site and rank the fixes, our SEO Audit does that page by page.

Disclaimer

This checklist is for information only. It covers common on-page practices, not every factor in search, and it does not scan or score your page. Following it does not guarantee rankings, traffic or AI visibility. Your ticks are not saved. Unlocking sends us your name and email, and the page type you were viewing.

A checklist catches the basics. An audit catches the rest.

Our SEO Audit goes page by page across your whole site and prioritizes what to fix first.
